Twenty-four years ago a prophecy was made that said "With the passing of years, these scriptures [speaking of the then new edition of the LDS scriptures] will produce successive generations of faithful Christians who know the Lord Jesus Christ and are disposed to obey His will." Think how this prophecy is being fulfilled.
I can testify that the generation that follows mine, and the one that my grandchildren are part of, have marvelous access to the scriptures and to greater understanding of eternal truths. Successive generations of faithful Christians, who know the Lord Jesus Christ, are being produced. Their faithfulness and obedience is impressive.
This marvel is not coming about simply because the Church produced an impressive edition of the scriptures. It is coming about as individuals take advantage of the opportunity to drink at the fountain of Living Waters. As individuals read, study, search and feast "upon the words of Christ as contained in the holy scriptures...we can receive both spiritual direction and protection during our mortal journey." We are all invited to drink deeply from the reservoir of living water, even to immersing ourselves in the scriptures and the words of living prophets.
