Elder Scott's Message

Okay, this is an old photo, but he still has the same wise smile. It was terrific to be in a building with a modern apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ, and so thrilling to have hundreds--maybe even 2000 young people--to hear him speak.

I'd love to hear your comments about his message. What words of counsel did you hear? What did you learn? How did you feel when he bore his testimony? Anything else.

For me, besides his testimony (which was unusual but deeply moving and profound) and his apostolic blessing (which was very simple but important), I loved his remarks about what he learned from President Faust. President Faust was truly a great man, one who because he modeled his life after the Savior as best he could, can be an example to us of: absolute integrity, trusting the Lord implicitly, understanding doctrine clearly because he studied and applied it, true interest in those around him (just a few examples).
